The Goose Girl

I really enjoyed this book, so far anyway. The author paints such vivid pictures and her words are so poetic. I am looking forward to see what happens to Ani and hope that she gets what she deserves and what is rightfully hers. What did you think? What were the strengths and weeknesses of the book? Would you recommend it?

This was so fun and easy to get into. I really liked the growth that Ani went through to get to where she was destined to be. I'm going to start the next book in the series, "Enna Burning" and I hope it's as good as this one!

I loved this book. I actually read this one last summer and couldn't put it down. I also read the next in the series "Enna Burning" and have it here with me if anyone wants to borrow it. It's very good as well.

Hey,
I finished the book. Yeah, good girls finish first, even if they are covered in goose droppings! I will have to borrow that book Emily. Hope you are starting the next book, it should be good.

I really enjoyed Goose Girl too! I liked how it showed that awesome people aren't always the ones that know everything, but the ones that are willing to try and keep trying to figure out how to make something work. Once Ani broke through her ignorance, she stood by what she knew was right. The fake princess and her gang were particularly despicable to me because they took advantage of Ani's ignorance for their benefit. I'd like to read Enna Burning just because her character is touched on so lightly in this book, it will be fun to discover another great girl created by Shannon Hale.

I thought Goose Girl and Enna Burning were great books. Books I want my girls to read when they are older. I think it was pretty awesome for Ms. Hale to be able to take a couple page long fairy tale and turn it into a very detailed book. I loved all the descriptions and the way I was able to visualize the story. It was great!
